That's right, the land has settled... Also turns out the vendor's solicitor has said that it is not their responsibility to ensure the pegs are there. Looks like we will be liable for charges come build time. Builders will have to get their surveyors out to confirm the boundaries. Well at least we've settled. That's the main thing. When do you suppose we can start building??

HIA Contract Signed
Well looks like we're finally at Contract stage. We went to Carlisle today and looked over the contract in detail. Pretty standard stuff is what they told us. After several hours of trying to have little bits amended we signed up and paid the full deposit. Looks like we're now locked in (unless we change our minds within the cooling off period).
Tomorrow is our settlement. FINALLY!!! I went and checked out the land, just to make sure it was still there, and noticed the pegs for the rear/right were missing. Quickly got onto the blower with my solicitor to advise them of this and they told me that they would have the vendor deal with it. Hopefully this doesn't cause any delays with the build.
